Hey Peeps! It's been a busy month, but when isn't it nowadays?
In this brief Update I'm going to fill you in on:
Pirates & Salvage Print Progress
Expected dates for the P&S Pledge Manager
Where we're at with Carta Imperia
TL;DR: Everything's on schedule to deliver P&S in mid-May as expected. And Julian has made some lovely ads for Carta Imperia.
PIRATES & SALVAGE PRINT PROGRESS:
You may remember that we had some issues with the interior printing of the P&S box, which doubles as the Pirate Shuttle. DoFine didn't seem able to get it right for some reason. Well, I'm happy to say that they've resolved those issues and the box interior is now looking pretty damn fine, as you can see in this small vid.
Three of our new standees were also not the right size. They felt too small compared to the other standees from the expansion and the core game. Once gain, we're really happy to report that DoFine have rectified the issue and as you can see here, Gover, Androidgyna and the Whistler now feel the right size and match well with the other Crew and Nasties.
This means that Printing for Pirates & Salvage is now complete and we're prepping to get the games shipped to us for Fulfilment. This has been delayed due to yet another week-long Chinese holiday (they seem to have one of these a month), so we're not expecting the games to arrive until mid-May, when we shall start Fulfilling to all backers.
PIRATES & SALVAGE PLEDGE MANAGER
This of course means that we need to get the Pledge Manager on-line. This has been a bit of a 'mare, because shipping rates are in constant flux at the moment (I swear Donald Trump has a hotline to our office and waits until we're just ready to ship before sparking yet another world crisis). However, the good news is that despite the world going to hell in a handcart, we've managed to keep most Fulfilment Rates below our initial estimates.
The only big exception to this is Australia, because the increased cost of bulk Air Freight means it's no longer cost-effective to freight the few boxes we have to Aetherworks. So we will be fulfilling these ourselves and swallowing the additional cost in courier fees to keep within our Stable Pledge promise.
However, the good news is that as long as all keeps going to plan, we expect the Pledge Manager to be up and running in the first week of May and we'll be Fulfilling Pirates & Salvage to you from mid-May onwards as scheduled.
